What's with the flags?

Flags

Ever since this website first went up, I've been asked some questions about what the flags on the first page (other than the Lithuanian and American flags). What follows is an explanation:

This is the flag of the Commonwealth of Virginia. We use it, because many of our members live in Virginia, among them, some true Virginians.

This is the flag of Washington, DC. It is based on the crest of the family of George Washington, one of the founding fathers or the US, our first president and after whom the city is named. We chose this flag to represent our members who live in the Washington, DC area.

This is the flag of Maryland. It is based on the crest of the family of Lord Baltimore, founder of Maryland and the person for whom the city of Baltimore is named. We chose this flag to represent our members who live in the Baltimore area.
